What is a float frame, you ask?

Float frames are decorative mouldings used to finish and accent a canvas or other art panel that has an image that stretches to the very edges of the work.

The float frame can be cut to fit snugly around the edges of the canvas so the viewer will not see the sides of the canvas. Or, the float can be offset by up to 1/2" to allow for shadowing and the dimensional impact the edge of the canvas can provide.

Float frames are functional in both contemporary settings and also where custom display options are called for.
